This wine received our top Merlot fruit of the vintage. The grapes were hand-picked and carefully sorted before undergoing extended maceration and native yeast fermentation. We like to blend hillside fruit with bench and valley floor fruit to give the wine added complexity and texture.
Our 2005 Merlot shows exceptional richness and depth with aromas of plums, roasted sage and sweet black cherries framed by mocha and toasted oak. The wine has a soft entry with notes of blackberry pie and fine tannins adding to the long finish.

100% Merlot. Extended maceration on the skins. Partial native yeast fermentation. Aged 18 months in French oak (37% new). Bottled unfiltered.
