Flavors of raspberry, bing cherry, kirsch and green olive are interwoven with vanilla, spice and dried herbs.
A very warm winter led to one of the earliest bud breaks on record and that trend carried on throughout the growing season. Veraison was completed early and growers had to hold on as acids caught up to well-developed sugars. Temperatures were steady into an early harvest of a normal sized crop and very good quality, with slightly elevated tannins, color and alcohol.
Hand picked and carefully sorted. Native yeast fermentation with gentle pump-overs. Bottled unfiltered.
This wine will age gracefully for a decade and beyond.
